About John

John is a barrister at Frederick Jordan Chambers in Sydney.  He specialises in corporate and commercial disputes.  He is also highly interested in human rights,  migration, professional negligence and legal costs.  He regularly acts for individuals and businesses as well as large corporates.

Before being called to the bar, John was a litigation solicitor at a firm in Sydney. During that time, John represented clients in commercial, corporate, costs, industrial relations matters.

John's background as a Korean native speaker and his fluency in Japanese and German enables him to assist clients from various cultural backgrounds.

John holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Sydney, a Doctor of Laws (PhD) and a Master of Laws (L.LM) degree from the University of Tübingen, Germany.  He also has a bachelor's degree in law from Yonsei University, South Korea.

The people John supports

John's clients are solicitors in private practice and in-house lawyers.  This includes solicitors in large law firms, boutique law firms and in sole practice, including regional, country and overseas lawyers.  John also welcomes instructions from new solicitors.

John does not accept briefs on a direct access basis.  This means clients who are not lawyers need to retain a solicitor first to brief John.
