Commercial Dispute


John advises and appears in commercial disputes matters such as disputes arising from business and partnerships.  This includes contract claims, debt claims, banking & finance claims, franchise disputes, property disputes, professional negligence claims (including against lawyers, conveyancers etc) and more.

Corporations and Insolvency


John advises and appears in Corporations and Insolvency matters. He has experience in a range of disputes arising under the Corporations Act, ASIC Act, and the Bankruptcy Act.  John has a particular interest in the areas of breach of director duties, voluntary administration, receivership, liquidation and more.

Equity and Trusts


John advises and appears in matters seeking an equitable remedy (or defending against such a claim). They are applications seeking equitable compensation, declarations, rectification, restitution, specific performance etc.   John also advises and appears in matters seeking urgent relief such as injunctions, freezing orders, restraints of trade, misuse of confidential information.

Property


John advises on all types of Real Property matters.  He is also available to appear if a matter is disputed.  The issues include retail and commercial leasing disputes, caveats, easements, conveyancing disputes and specific performance of a contract for the sale of land.

Legal Costs


John has vast experience in the area of legal costs.  John is able to advise preparing the itemised bill of costs into an assessable form, application to the costs assessor/costs review panel/taxation officer, appeal against the decision made by the costs review panel/taxation officer and many more.

Migration


John is particularly interested in migration matters and is currently working hard to successfully assist clients in seeking merits/judicial review of an administrative decision.
